Buying and selling of farm produce and government job which one is profitable?

Forget how it might sound some government jobs are not what they are meant to be some government job seek to exploit members of the public or its citizens and they might end up not getting paid or their salary might be lingered for a long time so engaging in agricultural activities and selling farm produce is more self depending and lucrative than most government jobs

I think investments in agricultural reduce especially around here is a very lucrative business. If one is being able to get his logistics right and is able to get a particular and efficient supply stock then he might make some serious money. The team is government jobs or is that the offer you a very valuable job security.

The question is do you have the patience, farm products can be slow at the beginning but with time it would pick up, especially if you have your own farm, you stand to gain more, government job on the other hand might feel better at first, but your pay is limited to a specific amount. And you would be dropped after a specific period of time.

If I am in his shoes, I will surely consider selling of farm products because it gives me the opportunity to be my own boss and work at my own pace. However , if I have up to two weeks before the end of the week, I will work towards starting the business see how Profitable it is and consider whether to continue with it or leave someone to control it for myself.

This is like a difficult question since the two sounds Lucrative to me. Government job comes with more stability and the pay is a lot higher than the private jobs. Selling and buying is also good as it can yield high interest if well managed. So maybe I will go for government job because of it's pension and gratuity.

It depends on the government job , because there are many government that are paying more and you would be more encouraged to be employed in such work , why the farm produce firm that the person is actually interested too depends on the large or how big the firm is to determine many things i think

I would say both are Paramount.....if you get the government job you can be making money there and with the benefits that accrued to it, you set up some things and after retiring, you can still be with the pension. However, you can still be running this buying and selling of farm produce as a side hustle by doing it when you are chanced or during your leave. Well, the decision is the owner's to make.

the function with government job is that he will have an opportunity to have pension at old age that is why a lot of people prefer to work for the government, the passionate about agricultural products selling then you should do that after you retired from your government work. For me I will go for the government first.

In Nigeria, many people always fast and pray to get a government jobs. But now a days, I don't think government job is better than farming. As a suppler who is buying and selling farm product, you can gain far better than a government worker who will need to wait till end of the month to get paid. A person who is buying and selling farm products may get what a government worker will get at the end of the month in one day.

Their is no security whatsoever in the government job, even private sectors private securities than the government sector here in our country. Their is no much attention given to the public job departments, most of the facilities and materials use in carrying out tasks in the workplace is simply dysfunctional and outdated. Farming with better equipments,.machinery brings better profit than working for government.

In order to get into a government job, you need a high level of education, attend the service exams and pass the service exams. It is not easy to get into a government job. However, once you become a government employee, you will have financial security because you ar entitled to a lot of benefits.

The only people earning meaningfully are the politicians when it comes to public jobs. If not if say government job is just a low earning one, their is no money on it, you won't use such kind of money to live life large, nor build attractive building structure. Farming produces better positioned and rared is hyper productive than working for government in my native.

One of my friend had been looking for white collared job since he had been graduated but all effort to get one proff abortive. One day he received a call from family friend that he has recommended him that,he should be supplying them farm produce like rice,bean in fact anything grain.
After the call my friend has started preparing for the business they even told him that they will send some money to him to start. But suddenly at around 11AM Nigeria time the next day a call entered from where he has once submitted his CV that ,he should resume for work next months.
My friend now approached me that,which one out of buying and selling of farm produce and government job is more profitable? Your comment and opinion is urgently needed.

Accept the job, put in some years(2 max), join a Caucus, set your traveling plan in motion, when you are successful with that, apply for study leave at your place of work (you might even be lucky to have your salary still streaming in while you are on leave) and once that clicks, you can then travel.


If I were in your shoes, this is how I would go about it. Incase the abroad is not so favourable, you can always come back to your job. And if it is favourable, your salary can be channelled into the welfare of your people at home. Note that, nobody at your place of work must know about this plan.

It depends on the kind of government job you're talking about because there are some jobs that do not pay up to $100 per month especially in this part of the world. Buying and selling of palm farm produce can give you over $1000 per month provided you have researched and know what the business entails.

What your friend should do is to look for a way to run both jobs, working with the government means that when you retire you will still be earning. But still if I have to choose between both I would go for food supply that business is very profitable especially when there is alot of order from different persons.

The both are still profitable. Although the government pays little but one man does not have to depend on only one source of income. You and still sell and buy farm produce. the good thing about government job you can also find time to do other things for yourself. so the both are still profitable.

The profitability of the business would depend on the size of the business. A government job here is not really attractive with the low pay and the very slow improvement of the career. If you can handle very well the business of buying and selling farm produce then you have a chance to be rich.

I believe it depends on your friend's goals and aspirations. Where does your friend see his/herself in some years time. All these questions are what your friend has to answer in order to determine the right career for him/her. For the agricultural job, does he have the capital to buy agricultural produce, storage machinery etc?. Does he have the knowledge needed for business ?. If your friend wants to live a relatively comfortable life then he should go for the government job but if he wants to take risk and then either profit heavily from it or otherwise then buying and selling farm produce should be it.
