Experience is a very important attribute of workmanship, With experience comes Increase in productivity, hence the reason why experience worker demand higher pay compared to starters, they are able to do stuffs more effectively and in most cases more accurately, though their are some firm that place unrealistic age bracket for experience workers they Intend to employ neglecting the fact that age comes with experience.

Your questions are all valid, these are valid things the new hire must find out to get to really know why the experienced hands left the previous place of work. But I know a lot of such people leaves for where there is more pay and maybe job security for them

The criteria that most companies uses is experience. When they are hiring they tend to put the years of experience they are seeking for in the new employees....I think most of them demand for experience before your certificate which represent your level of education but I think companies employed based on experience on the position they are hiring.

Jusy like the poster said, the process of hiring an experienced is already tedious because they know the payment will be much and they need to scrutinize him very well. Other reason for this at times is that they are already why an experienced person is leaving his current job for theirs. That's why they tend to go through a rigorous process.
You are right that the salary of an experienced applicant is much higher than an applicant with no experience. However if the vacancy is in need of someone who can do the job then the recourse is to hire someone who can do the job. You cannot hire a trainee because it takes at least 3 months to learn the ropes and perform the job very well.

Those are good points. I will not give too much weightage to lifestyle and family background. That doesn't reflect the professional efficacy of a person and also many might not be comfortable disclosing their personal information with full honesty. Most companies do a thorough background check up of a person before hiring him. They have their ways to find out his/her history with previous companies.
Just like me. I have learnt never to judge anybody with his lifestyle but what he can offer. I know a doctor who is very good at operation and some people won't even let another person treat them apart from this man but he's always seeing taking alcohol whenever he's less busy. The company doesnt do anything because he's still performing what he's hired for.

In our business culture the certificates are not required for an applicant. Even the college diploma is not asked to be submitted unless there is an issue surrounding the education. With the work experience what the HR people do is to call the company for random interview. But the standard procedure is to bypass those documents with the assumption that the applicant is honest.
For an entry level position, the college certificate and qualifications matter and they weigh. Corporates here go for campus recruitment and get the cream layer ( best one in college) . For high positions the degrees and qualifications don't matter. It's the work experience on your resume that matters. The hiring company does a complete background check on the applicant in previous companies. Most senior positions are opened internally or through references. At least that is the case here in India.

When the company needs an experienced employee the hiring is more intricate than when hiring for an entry level position. There is no formula that can be used because an applicant is always on a case to case basis. However, here is a list that can guide the HR officer in hiring an experienced employee.
1) What is the current position and the major duties
2) Number of years of work experience
3) The applicant’s view of his employer or employment
4) The reason for moving to another company
5) The family background and lifestyle
The best reason for leaving the present employment is greener pasture. A negative reason against the present employer is not a good reason. The lifestyle can also expose the attitude of the applicant regarding sense of responsibility and dedication to the job.
An experienced employee will contribute positively to the growth of the company. He's garnered enough experience to carryout strategic policies that will improve the status of the business. Having said that, there are also young sharp that has no work experience but can foresee business plans that can skyrocket the company's income. It's not all about the number of years you've been in the industry but how creative you can be.

Hmm, that means is worthwhile. Since I'm not tasked to provide those personal credentials before interview and its not a yardstick to decide my job fate with the company in question. Here in my country you're required to bring copies of credentials even original to justify I'm what is written in the CV is correct.

Companies go round the individual's credentials, appearance to see if the person qualifies. They alone knows the quality they want from the job seeker, if they want the job seeker worker, then you'll immediately demand such person start work immediately. Some of the credentials they'll be requesting, are;

Person information of the job seeker

The certificate, backing the job seeker to be qualified for the job.

Reasons for the job seeker prefer working for the company.

And what can the job seeker bring to the company, through skill, intellectual ability.

I was once working in a big company but work-related responsibility given to me was not helping me learn and grow. The company did not trust me in the projects that I could easily do. The company was also not paying me well because they said "I was not working." Therefore, I decided to switch my job, I went to a small company that offered me a very good salary just because I had "experience working for a big company".
Good that you could that and it was smooth. Sometimes we don't see much opportunity for career growth in big companies and we need to make this kind of right decision. Glad that you faced no issue switching the job. But in some cases, it might not be smooth. At times it comes under a cloud of suspicion that why would you like to switch from a bigger firm with bigger name to a small one.One should be really be able to convince the hiring company and prove they can be valuable assets.

Its nice you switched from the low paying company that is doubting your potential to a better paying one that saw potential in you and gave you chance to work in their company and bring in your best, to move the company's course higher and improve productivity. Any company that doesn't value my input, doubt it, I can't hang on to it, I'll resign and seek better options.

When hiring someone with experience for higher posts and responsibilities, company does a number of rounds of interviews. So, the selection is done very intricately keeping in mind a lot of parameters. Some of these recruitments can take few months with these multiple rounds. And they are quite justified for this laborious effort on their part to hire one person. They need a quality resource when they are paying them a handsome salary. Salary and incentives become one of the most important points for hiring an experienced person.
Yes, experience workers earn the most better than the less-experienced ones. When a company is hiring a skilled worker they know they'll be paying such kind of person higher than the unskilled that is doing some menial tasks in the company. After interview, companies knows the job seekers who qualified to work in their workplace and the ones who didn't qualify through the credentials and also from the face to face interview.
