I think handling or promoting an event is a big responsibility. One must know the important details of the event for a successful presentation. Sometimes its a big humiliation and will have a bad reputation even for a simple negligence of duty. Its a learning process and good motivation to be careful in every aspect. It maybe a tiring activity but rewarding.

It seems like the internet is the best place to promote an event particularly the social media. I have been getting wedding invitations via Facebook. I have to agree that it was the most convenient now unlike before when the couple would send the invitation by postal mail or courier and they would wait for the RSVP by phone. Now it's a simple private message and everything is settled. But for an event like a concert that needs public participation I guess you need to create a Facebook Page for that in order to make the promotion more formal and detailed.

You have shared very good information about promoting the event, which will be useful for all of us. In social media time, if any event is to reach more people in less time, then big platforms like Twitter, Instagram should be used.
