The small convenience store here called "sari-sari store" is the traditional way of earning by the housewife. A small store space in front of the house is constructed to sell food stuff and other personal items on retail basis. The profit is small but the customers are regularly buy simply because they are your neighbors. The only difficulty with the retail store is the time you spend because you have to attend to the store when it is open from 6 am to 10 pm.

Yes, you are right. Having a convenient store is a good means of livelihood. It is one of the easiest way to earn money especially if you sell foods. A lot of people prefer to buy food than cooking at their own homes. They can save time, effort and money. However, a store owner should not accept credit from their neighbor or friends to avoid lose of income/capital. Mostly love to do credit but don't like to pay in return. ( Ha.Ha.Ha )
