In the hiring process of companies in my country there's usually 2 interviews for rank and file employees.
The first interview is called the preliminary interview and it is usually done by the immediate superior, it could be a supervisor or a manager and is usually an informal, get to know you interview. Depending on your answers during the first interview you may be recommended to take the final HRD interview. Your fate to land a job rests in these two interviews.
