Why is my PayPal payment not processing?

The first step we recommend is to confirm that the financial information saved on PayPal is up to date. Expired credit cards or outdated billing addresses can lead to errors when attempting to complete a purchase on eBay.



Sometimes if you haven’t made a purchase on eBay recently and you’ve saved your PayPal account for streamlined checkout, the authorization may no longer be valid. Try temporarily disabling this feature with the following steps:



  1. Login to your PayPal account
  2. Go to Settings > Security > Permissions you’ve given
  3. On the next page, find eBay and select Remove
  4. Return to eBay and go to My eBay
  5. Select the Account tab
  6. Click the Personal Information link
  7. Under Financial Information, click Remove for the "Saved checkout payment method"
  8. You will have to sign in again, and then you will then see a confirmation message to indicate PayPal has been removed
It may take a few minutes for your changes to take effect. The next time you go to pay for an item, you can elect to save your information again for future purchases.
